King Threadfin Salmon are one of the hardest fish to catch consistently and may not be present in your system year round. Estuaries from Brisbane to Broome are threadfin habitat and a certain times good catches can be expected, however no techniques will work when they’re not present in the system. This typically depends on time of year and level of rainfall.

When Threadfin are present in your system, these techniques and strategies will put you on the fish consistently. However unlike our Barra Basics course where many students have caught barra on their first trip, there may be a lag period for thready’s if they’re not in the system at the time.
